Reduce Your Stress Levels

Do you regularly feel stressed out?

With everything going on in the world over the last twelve months, many of us are experiencing uncertainty about the future. The People we help and work with at Aston Health & Fitness, whether face to face or online, have often struggled with worry, anxiety and mental ill-health. Dealing with the issues that concern us with manageable targets can be through exercise, nutrition and/or talking to someone. This can help us to feel more in control of our daily lives as we begin to reduce anxiety levels and improve our physical and mental health too.

Here are 3 simple and practical ways to reduce stress in your life.

Get some exercise - Exercise will have a great positive effect on our mental health. Any kind of physical activity  whether its a walk in nature or a gym workout will release endorphins, which are the body's natural feel-good hormones. Think about what you can include in your daily routine, without the exercise becoming an additional stress factor in your life. Even 10 minutes each day can help to improve your mood.

If you would like to add more exercise to your daily life or need support in discussing what is best for you. Please contact me using the contact form.

Alleviate stress with a healthy diet - Our hormones and blood sugar levels are affected by what we eat and drink. Many stress and anxiety sufferers have reported that improving their diet made a great difference to their well-being. When we plan our meals for the week or month ahead, we can create less waste and save money by only buying the food we need, which will reduce financial stress levels too.

Join a supportive group - Maybe you've been looking for a group or a new group of friends that can have a positive impact on your life, but you haven't been able to find one yet? Joining a social group can not only help you to make new friends but can also help you to improve your health and well-being too, this will make an excellent difference to your stress and anxiety levels. You'll meet other people in a similar situation and people who can emphasise and support you.
